MediaSpan Unveils Streaming Audio Ad Network
MediaSpan, which powers digital content management and online marketing solutions for media companies including ABC Radio, Gannett and Scripps, announced today that its Online Services unit has exclusively partnered with Eonstreams to provide streaming solutions for its online network of over 1,500 local radio properties. The conjoined companies also plan to generate additional revenue for their local station partners by jointly selling national audio streaming ads across their combined network of nearly 2,000 local media partners.
Eonstreams’ patent-pending ad insertion technology, FastAim (marketed by MediaSpan as the AdSMART System), allows advertisers to target online audio, video and rich media ads by demographic, geographic, psychographic and format-specific profiles.
With this new union, the AdSMART System becomes an integral part of MediaSpan’s end-to-end audio streaming suite for local broadcasters, including custom audio players, dedicated hosting/delivery, 24/7 support and dynamic audio ad insertion/tracking which integrates into MediaSpan’s current toolset.
“By partnering with Eonstreams, we can enable our customers to easily create a ’second station’ online and generate new local and national audio stream revenue that they never had access to before,” MediaSpan CEO Dr. F.R (Frank) Campagnoni said in a statement. “Furthermore, our huge combined local customer base gives us a significant platform from which to create excellent marketing opportunities for national advertisers and bottom line revenue for our station partners.”
In addition to audio streaming, MediaSpan is growing its base of podcasting customers and is leveraging it’s relationships with over 1,500 local radio properties worldwide, including stations from Entercom, Radio One, Citadel and ABC Radio, to build itself a top-notch local multimedia network. Eonstreams currently works with 5 radio groups and more than 400 stations, and together the two companies will work with stations that reach over 75% of US households.
