MSN and SuperPages.com (Verizon’s online yellow page directory), have allegedly reached an agreement where SuperPages’ ads will be served in MSN Local search results.
Though there is no official release out on this deal yet, as of yesterday local search ads have already started appearing on MSN’s Local Search engine. SuperPages’ director of product and channel marketing, Robyn Rose, confirmed the ad placements to MediaPost: “It gives our advertisers more exposure to their users, and obviously help drives traffic to our users,” said Rose. “MSN is really putting a high value on our local sales force as well. That’s something they really don’t have en masse–We have the relationships with the local people.”
This move follows a similar deal Yahoo and YellowPages.com announced last week utilizing Yahoo Local and Yahoo Yellow.
