LiveDeal.com, a local online classified ad site, is offering a new program called AdTarget which allows advertisers to target their ads locally. LiveDeal has already been using their local advertising technology to target classifieds, but AdTarget opens up that same functionality to banner advertisers.

With local targeting, advertisers have the ability to direct LiveDeal visitors to their nearest retail outlet. “There’s the ability for corporate-level advertisers such as a Century 12 or a Remax…to place ads with us on a national basis,” LiveDeal.com’s VP of Corporate Development, Steve Harmon, suggests, “but then we localize the ads so they’re specifically targeted to sending users or potential buyers to their local outlets.” Advertisers can target their ads by geography, zip code, city, keyword, IP address, operating system and company name, and they can also specify whether they want their ads to appear on the LiveDeal home page, the category pages or the detail pages.

LiveDeal has been ranked one of the 10 most visited online classified sites by comScore (beating out tough competitors like Yahoo! Classifieds) and serves more than 1 million unique users per month. The site displays at least 400,000 items per day in categories including automobiles, real estate, pets, merchandise, jobs and services.
