What they do: Founded in 2002, owned & operated by Jake Dobkin and edited by Jen Chung, Gothamist is the most popular network of city blogs on the Internet today. Gothamist.com offers daily updated news, blogs, forums, event listings, weather forecasts, RSS/podcast feeds as well as the Gothamist Interview with NYC artists & tastemakers and the Ask Gothamist advice column, making it a daily read for young, savvy, successful New Yorkers. In addition to the NYC hub, the brand also operates websites in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and London. Each site offers similar citycentric content as noted above.

Why should you buy: Gothamist is a six-time Bloggie nominee, including one for Blog of the Year in 2005. Gothamist.com gets 1.5 million monthly page views and 750,000 monthly page views for each affiliate city site. Traffic overall has experienced a growth rate of 20% per month, with monthly unique visitors topping 400,000.

The demographic skews younger, with 52% male and 48% female. Other statistics:
