Google/Motorola Partner Up for Mobile Search
If your cell phone is a Motorola and you can’t get enough of Google while you’re sitting at your desk, consider yourself in luck: on Thursday, the world’s second largest maker of mobile phones entered into a deal with Google that will make accessing the search engine leader via any Motorla mobile device a piece of cake.
According to the AP, Motorola handsets will now feature Google icons, making it possible to search the web in just one click. No financial details have yet been disclosed, but expect to see this fancy footwork debut as early as the first quarter of this year.
In other news, Motorola has also signed a 10-year deal to work with Eastman Kodak to improve the quality of camera phones. The deal is said to be global in reach, and includes a licensing and marketing arrangement between the two companies.
